The Ramones Artwork
This 77 x 51cm artwork was used as the cover of the Ramones "Subterranean Jungle", the seventh LP release of this influential rock band.
I made the photographs at the 57th and Sixth Avenue subway station where the B train would stop and stand for 20 minutes before returning to Coney Island. The full story of this shooting, my first of many with the Ramones, is in my book "I Speak Music - Ramones" and is available in four languages on Amazon worldwide.
The photos by George DuBose are glued to piece of artboard and airbrushed by the art director, Tony Wright. There is a small "bullet" hole to the right of Marky in the window and the white letters "SIN".
The piece is unsigned, but George DuBose will sign it upon request.
Asking price is $5000.00 excluding shipping.
