I met Bryan when he came to NYC to promote his first single “Let Me Take You Dancing”. I went with Bryan and the A&M Records promotion guy to NY radio stations and photographed Bryan with the DJs and program directors.
When I asked the promotion guy if there was going to be a dinner or party for Bryan and learned that nothing was planned.
I called some “gal pals” at Andy Warhol’s “Interview “ magazine and asked them if they would come with me to Studio 54 with this young musician and see if we could get the DJ to play Bryan’s new single.
“Let Me Take You Dancing” was a disco remix of a rock song and I got the impression that Bryan was a rocker and wasn’t really “into” having his first single be a disco hit.
