Another assignment for “Interview” magazine. Duran Duran was in NYC for their first time and were all over the radio.

When they came to my studio, they went into the bathroom all together and were in there for 45 minutes. I thought they were doing drugs. One of the guys finally came out of the bathroom and asked me if I had any more hairspray.

“You guys used all my wife’s hairspray?” There is a drugstore full of hairspray right downstairs.

I had never worked with a band that wore makeup or “did” their hair.
