This is one of my favourite shots of anyone. This was all Ace’s ideas, but I think seeing the reality of the shots, put him off. Never used this series.

This is an extra shot we made for the album “Slaughtahouse”. I borrowed a technique from my friend photographer, Chip Simons.
Chip would dress his assistants in black, give them little coloured strobes and they would flash all over the subject during a time exposure.
That’s how I did this shot.
If you look closely, you see a smile and a grimace…
